Ok, your probably wondering what is so special about this fish. My daughter saw that it was getting picked on by the other fish in a cut off section of a stream. She caught it and we ended up taking the fish for at least a 4 mile hike till we found a suitable place to let it go back in the lake. I had no idea how far it was before agreeing to it.... LOL, besides.... my daughter was supposed to carry it, but you know how that goes. Probably the only fish in Norris Lake to go for a hike and live to tell about it.
As you can tell by our site #13, it isn't an easy campground to get level on. Most of the campground (the main loop) is on a hill side and the sites are pretty close compared to other state parks.
The kids like to read outloud by the camp fire. The favorite titles are the "Diary of a Whimpy Kid" series. I always look forward to the latest adventures in the books.
We drove to Norris Dam to take "The Fall Colors" cruise that the park rangers offer.
